And the problem is?

No problem...

Just put these handcuffs on and report to your nearest FEMA center to be retina scanned, photographed, microchipped, DNA tested, drug tested, psychologically analyzed, given your ration of anti depressants and you are on your way to your imagined "freedom"

Obvious troll is obvious.

Translation:  You have no clue.

I have asked a number of times what specific part of the Patriot Act people have a problem with, AND how it has affected you (or anyone), and have yet to get a coherent response.

Could be, although I'm asking the people who are complaining about the Act.

REALLY?

Try asking any airline passenger
Try asking any political protester
Try asking someone who has been vocal about the Patriot Act and its violations on Constitutional Rights
Try going onto college campuses while they rally against injustices
Try asking those who speak out against america and its attacks on innocent nations
Try watching your news channels and see how the police treat citizens in america now

YOU ARE WITHOUT RIGHTS NOW THANKS TO THE PATRIOT ACT...

Not to worry though when the violations reach your doorstep you will see... sadly it will be too late to do any thing about it at that point.

That's what most people do not get or at least think about.  Sure, it may not affect them personally now but there will be a time when it does.  Only then does it become unconstitutional to those individuals but by then no one will give a shit because we will all be under house arrest...or worse..lol.

LOL ok im not saying i support the patriot act but none of that shit has anything to do with the patriot act

give me something specific that has taken place since the passing of the patriot act that you think wouldnt have taken place if it had not been passed.

airport security would be the same
what political protestors have been stopped due to the patriot act
who bitching about the patriot act has been suppressed? nobody here thats for sure
what incidents on college campuses are you referring to? there have been plenty of protests on my college campuses...i hope youre not referring to "dont taze me bro"
again whos protests have been suppressed
LOL b/c we didnt have shady cops before the patriot act...LMFAO

again what specific incidents do you think would not have happend without the patriot act

Dude, I'm sorry but they do use it in ways it was never intended for.  They've used it to go after totally legal things and all sorts of other shit you didn't think the patriot act was intended for and they didn't waste time doing it either, I have one confirmed example done within months of it first passing dealing with paypal and what they were asked to do as part of a deal.  They had gone after paypal with the patriot act not long after it was passed and what they were asked to do and not talk about had absolutely nothing to do with the patriot act or fighting terrorism.  And it's only going to get worse.  Maybe the OP is off the mark but there is other reasons why this is garbage.

Don't hold your breath.

You and Tommy should hold your breaths until GENE POOL ELIMINATION sets in.

Good to know neither of you leave your homes, has any social interaction other than this board, are clueless about what is going on in your nation and worst yet... try to argue against reality. I don't remember which one of the two of you before tried to play this silly game on civil rights before when the issue of TSA searches were brought up. I talked on the CT board about the violation of your rights and how the Patriot Act allowed this and one of you said 'you didn't see anything wrong with the searches.... how you would go commando through the scanning machines as well'  and then you immediately went over to the Political Board and said the absolute opposite. Hypocritical?

In the words of Keith Olberman you two are the WORST and WORSER on the board.

Here are just a few violation you see everyday and PRETEND they are not happening..I guess because it is not happening to YOU

Have no idea what you're talking about.  I've never had any discussions (that I can remember) on the CT board.

I travel quite a bit, interact with a lot of people, both in the private sector and in government, and I have to say you are full of crap.

The case I know about was via a personal communication from someone who worked at the company so I can't link to an article.  The only thing I've read online is half of the story.  But there seems to be quite a few stories if you search "patriot act misuse or abuse."  The story I know about happened within months of it passing so I can only imagine they have gone all over the place since then.

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA.

THE PATRIOT ACT WAS NOT RENEWED.

SAMSON, you stupid fucking moronic idiot.  What passed is a simple resolution (H RES 79).

The resolution sets the rules for considering the extension of the act.

Never, ever believe anything a retard like SAMSON says.  EVER!
