I think so. If he can't beat Silva, he wouldn't have gone far in the tournament. He reigned for a long time, and fell quickly too.

Yeah, it is. Sucks that he made it through round 2 and the fight got stopped before round 3 started though. They shouldv'e given him the option to continue.

Bottom line is that he doesnt have the explosiveness anymore and he can't bang with guys that outweigh him by 50-60lbs that have skills.

Either way, he is still the greatest of all time as long as he doesn't pull a Chuck Lidell and lose 10 times in a row.

He makes it through that GNP, manages to completely gas Silva and then they call the fight without even having a doctor check him. Bitch move and a stupid decision.

Impressive as all hell that Fedor managed to survive that round with a guy carrying 50+ pounds on him raining blows down.

I agree with this too-- If it had gone to round 3, no telling how it would have ended; you would think SF would allow their biggest name the option to continue- kind of a stupid move imo.

I agree, absolutely, but in the mean time he inflicted enough damage to have the fight stopped.

I would have liked to have seen what happened with one more round......if Fedor had enough left in himself to continue or was he beaten too badly to do any damage himself?

He isn't that great. Can take a fukin lickin like no other though. He has quick hands for a fat fuk too. Other than  that, don't see why he has such a big name. He wouldn't have remained undefeated for even half as long in the UFC.

  This should have been ruled a no-contest. So now a fighter's inability to continue a fight even if he survives in full consciousness the round means that he loses? This is ridiculous.

Silva would probably gassed even worse in 3rd, but you can't get into a bad position like that, so Fedor have himself to blame
