I agree. To this day he is a gentleman and well grounded family man.  He has had and continues to have a life outside of the gym which is more than can be said for some bodybuilders, especially so for todays contestants.

I just gained a new respect for Lee. I hadn't really seen too much of him outside of pictures in mags, but on video he comes across far different-lee. :P

Something I did notice, and it's quite apparent, is Lee doesn't look all that big in his street clothes. This is evident in the beginning right after the weigh-in (where he does look monstrous) and again as he's walking down the beach with his wife. In the latter scenario he does look built, but not that grotesque look like the guys of today. However, he doesn't look like he can't run or do anything else someone on the beach is doing.

I also like how he is smart in the gym! He's not lifting all that much; his bench is higher than some today in the gym, but the rest of his weights are what you could find anyone doing. He's not out to stroke his ego. And that comes across in his physique.

You are not going to see a man like him for a long while. Part of it is because of his Southern upbringing...you see a bit of the same atitude in Ronnie Coleman as well...

I was at the 88 O, Lee had one of the best V-tapers of all time. Will we ever see another Mr 0 with a waist as small as Lee's?

Yup, that's about the time I met Lee at Gold's. Right after the '88 Olympia. Like a said before, you had to see him in person to really appreciate how impressi>e he was!

When he trains, he reminds me of Arnold. The same intensity, you can see it on his face. Totally into the task at hand, with that mind/muscle link. Not detached and half assed like you see a lot others train. Lee was the man...

You can learn more from this video then any other new Bodybuilding video.  8) the 5:57 mark is a "Schmoes" dream.  :D Lee is second to Arnold.  8)
