They are alright,  it's really just mid 90's thrash type stuff.  Drop d tuning,  they sell alot of records though.

Ashes of The Wake is one of my favorite albums ever. Some of the newer stuff is only ok in comparison, but that is almost a flawless metal album to me, great for training.

Seriously, listen to anything Testament put out in the mid 90's or Slayer's Divine Intervention,  the riffing is really, really similar.....

Steve Austin (who produced their first two records) said everyone in the band really liked Testament's Demonic album....
