Arabs vs Persians
« on: February 17, 2011, 10:02:31 PM »
I've talked to few arabs and persians and I have allways noticed this weird akward feeling they get when I start speaking about persians to arabs, or about arabs to persians.

"WE are not the same, we're totally differend!"

And they don't seem to want to talk about why would that be the case, they allways skip the subject somehow.

And since I don't want to search wikipedia, I just want to hear Xerxes oppinion on this FROM HIS OWN WORDS! Not the wikipedia explanation :P

Persians (Iranians) are a different race, with a different language and customs. Some compare them (generally) to the Germans, as being  arrogant, demanding and feeling superior to others around the Mid-East. Learning and education are of importance in middle to upper class family's. Persians may consider the Arab as common, uneducated and crude.

Arabs may consider Persians as different and not trustful. It would be like dealing with the devil, but they do. Too many ties to the West. And most of the above paragraph included.

All Muslims are not brothers, mutual dislike all the way around. Many different sects, as with Christians, Hindu's, Buddhist, etc. But the jewel in the crown of all Muslims would be the control of Egypt (which also has a deep mistrust for the Arabians, as all of the Middle East does) and the Suez Canal. Which looks like may be the final goal of all the sudden planned unrest around that area. $10 a gallon, regular, anyone?
