Same with alot of animals, dogs, horses for example, Confidence and No doubt in your mind and you can control them.
A little kid can move horses if there is no doubt in his mind that he can. And a grown man can struggle if he doubts that he can do it.

I would call this Brave rather then tough though, I guess its a wuestion of defenition.
