Aren't plants "lower beings" too?
thats a decent point that a philosophy professor of mine brought up on the issue of vegetarianism. but i think we can seperate animals that have apparant emotions and plants wich are apparantly without any kind of emotions or conscousness falcon i hear you, but i feel tthat animals eat other animals, its the way of the wild. just only eat enough, no more, and be thankful.

Sometimes eating red meat means that you are hungry for red meat.

I am all for a plant-based diet for those who choose to go that way. I can do without the holier-than-thou, condescending speeches. One well-meaning lady once told me that we were "robbing animals of their true potential" by eating them. I responded with, "So you are saying that if wasn't for humans, the average pig could be a C.P.A. instead of a B.L.T." Everyone in class except for her, and the queef professor, laughed.
LMAO!!!

are some of you 'pro-meat eaters' the types of kids back in grade school that would join in on the 'laughs' of some fairly unfunny happenings, only to laugh because it makes an intimate connection with the monkey see monkey do attitude that gives you that reward feeling of being one of the 'cool' guys? this behavior robs one of the ability to be truly independent and to truly grow as a person
people will laugh at all types of disturbing shit, in droves , its all up to you no one is really watching that closely, you can be your own and see if you really agree with that behavior deep down in your soul

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have no problem with those who choose not to eat meat. But when they declare moral superiority for making this choice, I feel that they make themselves fair game for any verbal barbs they receive.

Kinda like the guy with 5 face piercings and a dragon tattoo on his face who gets mad that "people treat me different and stare at me...." Really?

Several years ago, I was waiting to interview for a job and a young lady dressed similar to what you described was stomping out of the HR office. She scowled and told me, "Well, good luck. He won't even take me seriously!!" As SF would have said, "oh, brother "
