to be fair, I think he believes he did bench 535.  I would bet $100 that once the Coach gets past 20 his math skills are more miss than hit.

it should be pretty easy to at least make a video of 455x1

Bench (real one not a "machine")

135 x 5
225 x 3
315 x 3
365 x 2
405 x 1
455 x 1
The remainder of training is a secret.

BTW, fuck you "GWAR" hahahahaha!

There's a world of difference between 455 and 535 (at 181), but that would be a start.

455 x 1 is pretty damn good and Joe did this today so it should be easy to replicate this in the presence of someone with a cell phone camera

There's a world of difference between 24 and 48 years old. You just started learning about "working out" not too long ago right "GWAR"? (Amazing how fast they come back with new gimmicks.)

and thats considered a good bench. thats exactly what i am saying 400-500lb bench is considered advanced level for a gym rat. now i am not talking about competing powerlifters but gym rats..yeah thats a great lift. a powerlifter told me that if a sub 200lb guy could bench 315lbs that he questioned weather he was juicing

Judging by his unwillingness to post a video it's clear that The Hobbit is once again just tossing numbers out there for no good reason.

sub 200 hitting 315, that isn't uncommon for gym rats :-\ now crawling over the 400 mark sub 200 is, at least to me, very impressive. Shit, I'm happy I can do a little over 100 lbs my body weight.

I have no reason to doubt The Coach may have done it, but it is just really really hard to imagine. There are so true strength freaks out there...maybe coach was/is one of them....who knows, who cares ;)

I believe he maybe had 535lbs on the bar but his spotter could have been lifting 60lbs of it.

Juiced and being very short it is possible.

why did you even bother to mention it then

haven't you posted pics and videos of yourself here before so what's the big deal and you'd gain a lot of credibility

btw - I think 455 x 1 is pretty damn good.

let's see the video
