Jay is +300 lbs,not easy for him to do chin-ups.
If you guys(200lbs) add 100lbs around your waist and count how many reps you can do?

Which is precisely why he shouldn't be doing them. His body is so dysfunctional such a limited range of motion he has almost no choice but to use machines.

Jay needs to get on P90X like this guy.

Interesting. That may be 100 of something, but he's not hitting anything. No stretch, no contraction pause.

You must TRY .. give it a good go !!!
if you "can't" ..  then the close grip pull ups will suffice .. and they aren't "candyass" ... you do know there's quite a few people who couldn't do them at your size at all riiight ?  ;)

don't let yourself say "can't"  .. you CAN  !!

ive just started doing them again, im around 245 right now and im managing them fine, with no juice in me either, only started doing them again as the new chain on the pulldown is too stiff,,, think i'll stick with the chins, get an instant pump in my lats.

You got me beat man, I did a set of 8 with 30 added pounds, but I really want to get to the point where I can do 6 to 8 reps with 100 added pounds.

got on scale today and I was 279lb

I couldnt do a wide grip pull up - gddamnit - i did 4 sets of close grip but wide was just too much for me

I did 8wide grip 'jay style' without 'activating' my 'upper' biceps ;D

I used straps for rest of my workout - i felt like a fatass

i need to diet soon or somethg - no good :-\

Jay can't dance and he can't do pullups or pushups. I'm guessing he's no wizard in the sack. A 2 pump chump type for sho.

I got that, but he's only letting his arms descend about 20 degrees before he goes back up again. A chin up is more vertical with a pronounced stretch at the bottom and slow(er) pull to a noticeable contraction at the top.

That P90x video is obviously fake.  Wonder why True Anus didn't think of doing a similar video of his deadlifts.
