Governor Scott Walker's office released this statement regarding the Prank : The Governor takes many calls everyday. Throughout this call the Governor maintained his appreciation for and commitment to civil discourse. He continued to say that the budget repair bill is about the budget. The phone call shows that the Governor says the same thing in private as he does in public and the lengths that others will go to disrupt the civil debate Wisconsin is having. The Wisconsin Democratic Party was quick to issue a Statement : Scott Walker: His Master's Voice He Won't Talk to the Public, But Will Talk to Koch Patron MADISON-Scott Walker received a fake call from whom he thought was one of the Koch Brothers who are buying the state. You can hear Walker responding to His Master's Voice here and here, where he details the ethically-rotten conspiracies he has at work to crush his opposition. "Scott Walker won't listen to Senate Democrats, or the hundreds of thousands of average Wisconsinites who are speaking up against his divisive power grab. But an oil billionaire from Kansas gets his full attention," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said. "It is a damning, embarrassing and possibly illegal admission that Scott Walker has put Wisconsin up for sale."
Talk about grasping for Straws Walker said virtually nothing that he hasn't said publicly.Nice try morons. Fact of the matter is that your day of reckoning is almost here and the democratic party is on the verge of total irrelevancy. It doesn't matter how many prank calls you make or baseless accusations you concoct out of thin air.
Earth to benny douchbag....there wasn't a ounce of fact in that call that Walker hasn't said in public.
This pisses me off. Walker proves himself to be a political gigolo, just like the title of the video says. This is one of the reasons why I went third-party a year ago. The modern-day GOP is about plutocracy, drunken foreign policy and corporate prostitution.
Why does it piss you off? The Koch family (very publicly) backs conservatives and donates to GOP candidates. If the biggest philanthropist on your side of the aisle and one of your campaign donors called you, would you answer the phone? Of course. Not to mention the guy said nothing to the prank caller that he hasn't repeated to the public several times.
I wouldn't mind it if I thought that Koch actually cared about Conservative Christian principles or even America the way I do; I just think he cares about tax breaks and not much else.
Cenk Uygur breaks down the devastating prank call from blogger Ian Murphy that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker believed was an actual Koch brother.
Agreed - it's disgusting.
