CHIEF WRAY RESPONDS …
…. TO REPORTERS' QUESTIONS

The Madison Police Department is getting many calls regarding responses Chief Noble Wray has made to media in the past 24 hours. The following is what was sent to inquiring reporters:

Greetings,

In response to direct questions yesterday from Isthmus and Wisconsin State Journal reporters, the MPD released the following statement Wednesday afternoon:

"The men and the women of the Madison Police Department train for crowd situations where an agitator or provocateur may try to create safety risks for citizens and officers. During the demonstration around the Capitol Square no such situation has arisen. Crowd behavior has been exemplary, and thousands of Wisconsin citizens are to be commended for the peaceful ways in which they have expressed First Amendment rights."

Today, Chief Noble Wray would like to add the following to our response:

" I spent a good deal of time overnight thinking about Governor Walker's response, during his news conference yesterday, to the suggestion that his administration ‘thought about' planting troublemakers among those who are peacefully protesting his bill. I would like to hear more of an explanation from Governor Walker as to what exactly was being considered, and to what degree it was discussed by his cabinet members. I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers. Our department works hard dialoging with those who are exercising their First Amendment right, those from both sides of the issue, to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure they can demonstrate safely. I am concerned that anyone would try to undermine these relationships. I have a responsibility to the community, and to the men and women of this department - who are working long hours protecting and serving this community - to find out more about what was being considered by state leaders."
Noble Wray

“I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary,” Rep. Mike Capuano (D-Ma.) told a crowd in Boston on Tuesday rallying in solidarity for Wisconsin union members.

So let me get this straight.....the POLICE chief, who would most likely be affected by the union issues, has something negative to say about the governor who is proposing them?  Okay, gotcha...... ::)

Funny - where is the DA or the cops on the fraudulent docs handing out fraudulent doc notes essentially robbing the public blind of what they are paying for while the teachers stay home and cry like babies?

he hasn't said a word pro of con about the legislation

he's talking about public safety and the safety of his LE officers

I find it bizarre that a governor would even consider such tactics but then again he thought he was talking to his patron

is it of a credible source that he considered what he is alleged to have done?

what proof do they have?

to think that the police chief is for disbanding public unions is pretty ignorant...

'suggestion that his administration ‘thought about' planting troublemakers among those who are peacefully protesting his bill'

The governor is right on this issue - but he really looks like shit for saying he actually considered planting people into a highly tense crowded situation with the sole purpose of causing chaos.

Ppl can say "but but but the unions suck too!" which is fine. but we'r etalking about the governor of a US state, admitting on tape he thought about putting lives in danger.  Fucking moron, plain and simple.  he's right on this issue, but he's an asshole for ever considering this.  When one of his 'plants' gets a crowd running and someone gets killed from trampling, what then?  You have 70k people in a small area you even THINK about doing anything to ignite it - you fucking suck.  Period.
