my lasting memory of ODB is the footage of him collecting his food stamps/welfare/whatever in a limo, came across as a real piece of shit to me.  I didn't particularly think he was that gifted either, in fact more of an overrated joke. 

sheen in contrast, rolls hard with his own fucking dough and would never consider a handout.  I don't think he is particularly gifted either, however he seems to think he is.  I don't know anyone that watches his sitcom or whatever and I have never seen it.  in my eyes he is a washed up 80's figure who caught a second wind and is lucky to still be seriously earning.  I liked him as a kid in navy seals and major league

I agree, it's a funny show. But if you think he wasn't tweeked out of his gord last night on 20/20..He's a mess but apparently he is getting a show on HBO soon

The show is not funny, as most sitcoms on CBS aren't funny. CBS is best at dramas and reality TV series...sitcoms they are not...the forced dry humor of "Men" sucks cattle teets.
Due to the reality TV boom, not very much has been invested in good writers or great actors, so you have limp wristed scripts, sorry excuses for actors, or ones trying to make a comeback. Quality is not a word one uses for "2 1/2 Men".

I didn't know whether his sunken eyes and slightly drawn face with loose skin around the neck due to the drugs or his workout regime...

IMO it's funny. So is How I met your mother, Rules of Engagement, and the Big Bang Theory, Shit my Dad says the new one with Shatner. The rating speak for themselves.

Ratings mean Jack shit, if that were true then reality shows are the gold standard. Shit is dumbed down...Shatner's is good, but Harry's Law top all of them. The Big Bang Theory is corny as fuck, and also helping to push the twink agenda as well...when Mayim Balik (sp) was on (herself a certified nerd who can't dress), that was the highlight of that show.

Basically all the good writers have gone---the best comedies are the satirical cartoons, or on cable.
Networks basically survive on their dramas---Fringe, House for Fox. The Law and Order spinoffs and Harry for NBC, CSI, NCIC, Numbers for CBS, and Grey's Anatomy for ABC. The real writing talent shows in the dramas, as that is prolly where the money is.
 
Sitcoms are only 30 Mins, and occupy time slots where they have to go against reality shows and American Idol type shows---thus, they are not provided with "strength", they are cannon fodder...
