Shawn Ray was a bitter whiny bitch at this point.
He admitted later in an interview that he shouldnt have been talking shit about Doz,, and that wasnt Dorians fault, and that he was just upset because he thought he "had Dorian on the ropes" (somebody needs to tell Shawn that when youre outmassed by 40+ lbs, you dont have to just be good, you have to be fucking flawless, which Shawn wasnt ((Narrow, extremely Narrow, some imbalances).

 He basically said he was bitter and he should have been questioning the judging and not Dorian.

I beg to differ. Dorian was waterlogged with a torn biceps and a wider waist than he possessed the previous year. If there's one year Dorian should have lost the title, it's 1994.

But not bad enough to get beaten by him. Dorian's conditioning was so damn near perfect that he could beat able-bodied competitors with torn muscles.

Shawn was always trashing the champ.  Before Dorian, it was Haney.  Flex would run articles by Ray going on and on about how it was his time, and he was the new uncrowned champ.  Then he'd come in 4th.  I know it's self promotion, but it always felt like Shawn was having a self-affirmation- "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like me!"

Jay Cutler was sligthly off in 08, Dorian had a torne biceps and bloated stomach in 94 like Shawn Ray said. And you know very well that wasnt the only time either. It makes perfectly sense, but off course not in all cases though... I still think they all deserved at least 1 Mr O each.

Shawn Ray was NOT close to Dorian in any way shape or form in this contest , fact is he was trailing behind Kevin Levrone after prejudging and he only beat Kevin with a better posing routine in the evening show and the crowd was incensed with Shawn beating Kevin for second

Well, if Shawn wasnt so afraid of adding more mass, then maybe he would of won back in the day. But he refused to progress in that direction at the expense of his asthetics. He tried to beat them in his own game, and thats where he failed.
