Question for gh15 and Disgusted

What is needed to come in cut and full like Ronnie 2003? It's a once in a decade type of shape. I am curious what are the technical aspects. When everything falls right in place.

You are not going to like my answer, but here you go, LUCK! Let me ask you a question. Have you ever seem Ronnie in the exact same shape twice? I've seen him go from 285 two weeks out to 265 smaller and smoother the day of the show, but when you are as freaky as Ronnie you are still going to win. I remember during his first Olympia win he made the comment that he thought he was going to die. This was IMO mostly due to diuretics. Lots of Bumex went into that body over the years among other stuff. Now, I do not believe plasma expanders are what gave Ronnie his dry look. Remember that these guys are trying to do two things, to come in dry as possible AND!! the most important thing to duplicate that look for the next show which is nearly impossible when you have a myriad of drugs in your system and I am talking about diuretics and manipulation of water potassium and sodium.

some managed to hit it perfect almost everytime, only thing that fucked yates preps up were injuries... but he was very regimented in everything he did, to the point of wearing his chest clothes for chest day etc etc

Really? name them cause none of the top guys seem to be anyone that I would want to place a bet on. Ronnie has all different kind of looks, Jay well you never know with him and even Phil Heath looked pretty bad the year before last at the prejudging. Dennis Wolf is another one as well as Dennis James. Of course these guys always claim others reasons as in the flu, food poisoning etc when in reality it's their so called carb up water depletion plan. All you ever hear is, well he's "off" this time. Jesus it isn't rocket science, you never saw this years ago. As far as Yates well he got worse as the years went on.

Shawn Ray said he felt Phil's vomiting was due to nerves and I think it's definitely possible that it contributed.  Hell, you have chess players puking before matches due to nerves so I see no reason why it couldn't happen to a bodybuilder or at least compound the side effects.  With almost every bodybuilder reporting being weaker near contest time, I wonder how many feel like death?

ronnie had some of the most insane genetics ever. he worked with dumbass guru who thought there was some magic trick a bodybuilder could do the last day or two. there is no trick. ronnie came in shredded because he was shredded. period. holding water is usually due to wacky, desperate attempts at drying out+filling out simultaneously.

Ronnie in 03- what can you say? What was he on? Fuck if anyone knows. An INSANE amount of GH and slin possibly 300mgs tren ED with 200mgs suspension and who knows how much anadrol. Other than that, just lucky his body peaked like it did. Lot of diuretics. Let's put it this way, 9/10 bbers go into organ failure with what he was on. Tolerating high doses is a genetic trait only top guys have.
