One of the differences that I noticed when I moved to the mainland is that in Hawaii when you get your ass kicked you really don't think of revenge in the traditional sense. I don't know about perfect worlds as you describe them. The fact is not all folks are the same so what you suggest might apply to some folks, but not all. Why should anyone want to fool their friends about their sexual preferences? Human beings are sexual, how each of us expresses our sexuality is our own business. Unless someone is doing things that hurt other people, they have nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to explain and nothing to apologize for. Just read some interesting posts in this thread. About the civilization of man over time, and the need to be superior as a species or race or country or whatever. I read a book that taught me something to things of this nature that contained some interesting facts.
WW I and WW II and other wars from days long and not so long ago. Look at how many deaths there were. Sheer manpower and deadly force of human bodies were the means to the end. The end being victory. The goal in war is to aquire though. Not just kill the most. Who gets the jackpot?  

There is a war or series of wars since 2001. In all those years nothing even remotely close to the number of dead bodies accumulated in times before.

Point is, man has learned new strategy of accomplishing the goal, which is to rule or be superior or have the most oil or money or power or whatever and to do it with far less killing. Smarter.

Fighting as a sport is freaking great. Fighting as a discipline is great. Training. Chess on a physical level.
