I get bad anxiety from smoking. I have always had issues with anxiety. Weed seems to highlight your weaknesses. Then I start feeling guilty for all of the negative things going on in my life. I enjoy weed after a few drink though balances it out.

Only thing I ever was paranoid about when high has been cops, family and anti-drugs friends noticing I'm high. I don't think its anything like the beginnings of a bad trip at all, I think it is one big fat myth

Get over my ego? What I mean is that there is no way because nothing truly matters. If there is no way it is impossible to have shortcomings? If you feel you have something wrong with yourself that is a shortcoming, it doesn't require a ''way''. What I mean when I say there is no "way" is that there is no instruction to life. Everything just is. Everything about everything is human interpretation. Nothing truly has purpose in this life. It's all just matter that happens to make noise and create actions and outcomes that have no real reason. When you break anything down for what it all is, nothing matters and there is no way. We are organisms that live to die. I could have left some room for threories on there being a way, but there is no way to prove that there ''is" so im not really out on that realm of thought anymore. It's all theory.
There are ways to live and ways to manage life of course, but saying that anything can "show you the way" is ridiculous. the only thing to learn is interpretation of the information this life gives you and using it to the best of your ability. i htink when i speak of ''the way'' with other people were speaking on different wavelengths of interpretation so it's easy to be misunderstood. My thoughts don't always translate to words 100%.

Backo n the ego - I'm far from egotistical, i don't enjoy an ego and it scares the fuck out of me when i get too high. It shows up a little here and there but i'm winning the battle. I do these things! i'm glad you advise people to do this. I think we differ in opinions on this subject because I've gone deep in psychelic trips and see things from a perspective light years away, whether that's good or bad i dont know. I don't see why you assume i let my ego run anyhting. I try to see everyhting from the most unbiased perspective possible, with ego that's not possible. When I say nothing matters i'm speaking on the grandest scale I can imagine. In terms of daily life many things obviously matter to a small degree. But again to think things really matter - like a spot on the local baseball team or 20 inch arms  is complete douchebaggery.Those only matter in the small minded realm of thought. Im not saying those aren't things you should aspire to have, you certainly should, but you shouldn't feel anymore special because you have them. .When you break your ego you begin to see the whole universe and how small you are and how much you don't matter. Quite the contrary man.  I used to smoke lots of weed, I just realized how pointless it was.  I shouldn't have to come to a life changing decision under the influence of anything.  If I can't think critically about my life without a drug that means I need to do something.  I also came to the realization that anything that I thought was "life changing" when I was high was something that was influenced by a drug I was taking.  As I get older I realize I can still think intensively without the use of a drug.
