A colleague of mine in NYC is close to his family. It's been a very rough run of several years for Vic, according to him. I was at the NOC that he won where he looked phenomenal.

It's his gut that's messed it up. Look at the pics from this years Arnold, the gut is at an all time worst for him.

I've never liked his physique either but he was clearly robbed in 2007 and at his best, he was a better version (beter overall structure and better balance) of Heath.

Melvin looks incredible there.  He was a guy I didn't care for, for years, but he really revamped his physique and brought up weak points.  Sad that he was never rewarded the way he deserved for it.

dude came up with shawn, vince and john brown, should have been top 10 olympian every yr similar to shawn.

i agree, to a point, but just look at the pic above. He is AT LEAST as lean as Vic and Dex there.

He's not really that far from his all-time best.  He needs to lose the gut and go for conditioning, something he's always had trouble with.

When was that pic taken? About 5/6 years ago? Fuck, you can't see three guys lined up with these kinds of physiques nowadays. Bbng is getting worse and worse. Any of these three kinds would be better Mr O than 2010 Hodge-podge Cutler.

I think he told Milos about eating what he wanted due to his fast metabolism---he looked his best when he turned pro. Even Dex a few yrs ago had said that Mevlin needed to stop gaining too much weight and concentrate on conditioning---it seems some guys are too scared for that and want to look "fuller" against bigger competition---but Melvin has a Flex Wheeler-sque type of physique---it only looks good in the  220s-low 230s, after that it's gut that's growing
