Because he says no such thing in that clip, unless it's in part 2 or somewhere.

Evan has a baby on the way [July] and is working on renovating his home. To eat, drink, and sleep bodybuilding is perhaps not feasible for him at the moment. I would say he is a surefire top 10 finisher if he decides to compete but he most likely has too much on his plate.
