They weren't gonna fuck with her that much because she was about prayer and working with the community (drug cartels) to racket down the violence---then things probably changed.

I don't think she took the position with that as the end result...she got in over her head, and was like "eff this"...
I mean, when they threaten to kidnap you, they aren't just going to have a lil picnic. You saw that pic of the guy's skin stripped away from his decapitated head, with his balls in his hands?
She was naive--nobody would take that risk for the end result to be US citizenship---tomorrow is not promised

If you saw her face when she took office, her eyes were that of naïveté. Thinking she could pray, and work with the people...to do all of it on purpose is too risky, one could just flee across the border. Way too easy, plus she is or was a college student. So she is educated, and could fit in a American town.
She didn't know if she was going to be shot the first day or first week.

we used to party out there when I was in HS and college

drive down from san antone or baylor and go get test - tape it to my dick, get drunk and walk back with the mom and pop traffic at night
