I understand what you're saying, but although 'they' got to have fun at your expense, didn't you get to have fun and travel on their dime?  And didn't you end up getting the last laugh??  Think about it...people know your name and you still get to poke fun at their plight whenever you wish.  Meanwhile, they can't say jack about you anymore, because you've moved on to the next chapter in your life. 

Even if all they want to do is use Aaron, if they're compensating him for his services (with travel, for instance), then it's a fair exchange.  If I'm signing your paychecks or funding your expense account, then you put up with whatever bullshit I throw your way.  That's just life.  It would be far different if he was paying his own groupie expenses, but that's not the case here, right? 

Ron tried to warn you, but life is about our OWN experiences.  You had to learn that lesson for yourself, just as we all do when doing things our friends might advise us against.  You're welcome to say 'I told you so' if things do eventually go down the toilet for him, but for now, the guy is having the time of his life and proving - at least to many GetBiggers - that ignorance really is bliss.

This is true and I guess as the saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you can't make hiom drink from it.....as for me having fun on their dime while I was at MD it was pure SLAVE labor to be honest but I have never been afraid to work. I was paid 1000 a month plus food and travel paid but the hours I worked were rediculous....I would start work at say 8 pm on friday and work til sunday night around 10 pm and during that time I was lucky to get 2 hours sleep a day so in 72 hours I worked 66 hours 4 times a month for 1000 dollars you tell me if that was worth it.....Ripitupbaby has been there to witness the crazy hours I was working back then

I am MCSE certified and CCNA certified......When Dave came to me at first it was a weekend Gig to make extra money.....but as the contest season went on and the demand grew thats when I decided to bow out from the job.....I am not a quitter and I was never one to just walk away from a job I accepted.....I went to Dave and explained to him I was done with the job and I was going back to enjoying my life.....he tried to give me some speal about "Don't you realize how many people's lives you are making that much better by doing this job" I was done and over it......I wanted my LIFE back and being able to travel places and see more than just an event center and a hotel room.....

Hope this doesn't sound to hateful but my guess is non the of these guys ever had a real job, so it's hard for them to grasp the concept of having a work schedule on top of "gigs"

Yes I have been with my company for 11 strong years now.....I came up poor being raised by a single parent and was always told if you accept a job you finish it.....I gave my notice to Dave at the end of the contest season so that they had plenty of time before the first show of the next year to train a replacement......As for me I went on to starting a family and enjoying the gym and not worrying about STRIATED GLUTES.....

Congrats brother; building a solid foundation via career, family and academic accomplishments is the secret to long term success. Once established, then only then should bodybuilding "investments" be made, not the other way around;

I can see how getting close to Dave could be very attractive for knowledge, support and get a "foot in the door". I'm sorry it turned sour and that they sucked you in their drama and bad lifestyle choices. Don't get me wrong, I would love to motorboat in Collette's silicon monsters but probably not worth the trouble.

You should be proud of coming from a simple upbringing which was probably not always easy to a successful career with a great income and a head on your shoulders.

Thx bro.....I busted my ass honestly to get where I am and one of the only reasons I ever looked toward bodybuilding was Derek Anthony.....many dont know we grew up together in the same town and same schools and seeing him transform himself at an early age and become larger than all our teachers by his senior year made me think to myself that dedicating yourself to working out and eating right does pay off.

Working with Dave in the begining was alot of fun....working for MD is where the fun ended and so did dieting and even having time for meals and or working out...I have learned alot from that experience and with what I know now I would never do anything for anyone unless my happiness was still in tact and I was living the life I wanted!!!

I believe the school he went to was shut down a few years ago for a couple of violations.  Not sure if Billy can confirm that or not.

Yes you are correct ....... It was a technical school mainly for certification training but they were shut down for money reasons.....From local newspaper articles they were taking in students money for classes that they didn't even offer and telling students their was a delay in the program. In the end the were shut down for robbing people of moneies for a course they did not offer...
