The Chicago Code

It isn't 'The Shield', but so far, it's pretty good.  They've gotten a bit carried away with all the different storylines so soon, but the primary conflicts are great and gotta give FOX credit for putting a spotlight was how deep the corruption runs in Chicago.

it's decent.  it has potential.  i'd like to see that main lady character do something dirty... choke out some snitch form her past, etc... get a little dirt on her hands.

Even acevada from the Shield had a guy smashed in prison.  There are no good guys in a perfect world.  She needs to be the same.

Agreed.  Assuming her undercover guy did kill someone in that fire, she's got to help in the cover-up, so that could be it.

Lived in Chicago when I was a kid...even at the age of 4, I knew that aldermen were shysters.

It sucks, they all suck. Same damn Cop show, diff name, diff city, diff network. They all go for the Gritty, dirty, "oh it's soo bad", gotta be crooked or you'll never survive in this world--cop....the networks suck. I mentioned this before, they follow the same formula of Cop show, Lawyer Show, hell, they could at least do a "Touched By an Angel" type show---

They're using one of my boys from "The Black Donnellys" as the undercover cop.  Now *that* was a great drama that was never given a chance.

Thats why its called the " windy city", not cuz of the WIND, because of all the " shady/corrupt " buisness. Chicago is located in COOK COUNTY, many call it CROOK COUNTY, mostly because of all the gangs, and shady/corrupt buisness. Chicago is very shady and corrupt and dirtier than porn stars.

I agree.  It's all the same "CSI" fill-in-the-town now.  Television for the greater part, sucks.

Because it is aimed at the general public...Because it is ruled by committee...Because of the preponderance of ratings...

From what I watch of it, good for regular TV, sub standard for cable TV. The Shield, The Brotherhood, The Wire, Soprano's (know I'm forgetting some) all in a upper class by themselves.  Even Justified (rural southern cop show..excellent) is well up there on cable. Breaking Bad is another outstanding cable crime show.

Best conspiracy & secret group controlling the government show was Rubicon (cable) which only lasted one season. Too bad, great acting and writing. Required too much thinking for the general public, which equals poor ratings.
