Don't know who it is but it looks like it was taken on Mount Helix in San Diego County. Definitly has a So Cal look to the desert/scrub scenery-might be AZ also. Don`t you remember these guys 619,the Czech team for the World Champs in the 70s,the guy you pointed out is Alois Pek.
I dont know any of them-but they look good-especially for the time period!

Ralph Kroger How the hell would anyone know where it was taken ? I was right-that was Mount Helix in San Diego County-in La Mesa east of San Diego-So I knew where it was taken, but only b/c I live in the area.....Kroger also did a bunch of photo shoots at Mission Beach where I used to live and Onlyme shot the movie "Dangerous Curves" in 1987............. Leo Stern also has a bunch of pics from Mission beach......

Correct, that is Ralph Kroger.
Does anyone recall Ralph's little gym along the side of the Pacific Coast Highway back in the early 60's a few miles south of Oceanside?
Ralph closed that one up and opened another in Hilo, Hawaii which was not a real impressive place but he did business there for a good number of years until moving back to the mainland.
Any one have details on Ralph's life and whereabouts?

I just did a search under his name-if he is 67 y/o then he is living in Cherokee, Iowa.........

Both are kinda simply for us older farts who read the Muscle mags of the era.
But I had to laugh at the early post that identified the black guy as Leroy Colbert.
First, Ab hanger designer Brad Harris w/hoe starlet. Second, Left to right, actor Nick Adams (short, short guy), Mickey Haggerity and Leroy...I mean Joe Louis.
I actually purchased an early athletic course (Bob Cousey, stars like that) who endorsed this Sports Foundation training. Joe Louis was another one of their prime stars. I got the first two courses, then quit, couldn't afford it (cheapie).
But, I wrote Joe Louis on the board, and he actually wrote me backand signed his signature. I was a huge boxing fan and gave him some teenage adulation. My parents threw my personal effects away when I joined the Corps. To this day, I respectfully remind my mother of that.

I remember seeing Brad Harris for the first time. In very good shape for an older man. Really nice and talked to everyone. I had no idea who he was. The funny thing is that night I saw a movie and he was in it. Then I found out he was actually a very well versed actor and quite popular.

Yeah-Scott Wilson. Scott was on the Nautilus Paroll thanks to Arthur Jones in the late 70's, and then Ed, Tim and Grymko bought out Gold's in 79- and in late 1980/early 81 Ed opened San Jose, right after he opened San Francisco Gold's and had Scott runing Gold's San Jose with Steve O' Brien........ Scott was like Aaron Baker-always under rated and never received the kind of placings he deserved....
