I tend not to belittle those that have a real faith in Jesus, even though I myself am an atheist. What constitutes a real, genuine faith in Christ? They live it not just speak it. I know a few that do just that. So then, either join those with a genuine faith in God in hoping the best for the Japanese people either through prayer or in just well wishes that mean nothing more than you truly do wish them no harm but instead all the best because while not everyone can or will give money, food, etc. (and that is just the way it is) just about anyone can give more than a flying fuck about the loss of life and property. I agree. They are for the most part a good people and can and will take care of themselves. I don't see why we should send aid to a lot of countries given that they generally don't give a fuck about us. Did anyone send help after Katrina?

I think one time India sent a couple of bags of rice as token gesture.

Actually the japanese economy is under great strain and they'll have to face some serious financial consequences later on... This whole tsunami debacle is definitely not helping.
