That's funny. I was a fan of Burke's physique. I don't know what's this thing about high lats but when your taller you are going to have a longer torso. The other poster was on point when he pointed out that BB's as a group are short so we are just use to seeing these fireplugs. Burke was around 5'11". I like that long torso look better. It gives a more streamline appearance. When I compare someone like Burke to the top placers at the last Olympia: Jay, Branch, Dex, Phil, I much prefer Burke. Black man even had decent calves.
