covering them with cement won't do shit. the russians did at chernobyl as more of a PR move than a containment issue. the only thing to do them is to dump water on them until the pump power's restored.

Well maybe you should go get a degree in nuclear physics and then get back at us.

I'm sure they have experts there and they are doing whatever they can. People a lot smarter and more educated about physics than you or I are working on it.

At this point you don't want to cover the core with anything that could contain/seal gases... like concrete. If you do and gas pressure builds up and explodes you'd get a very nasty dirty bomb.

It screams amateurism, eh? Given that this is Getbig and everyone holds a doctorate from MIT, what do you suggest they do, oh wise one? Everyone on here has dabbled in nuclear research at one point.

They're actually close to finishing a new power cable that just might restore electricity to the cooling systems.

i m simply in awe. As you said it neither you or I know what's best to do, so stop acting like you know more. Nobody knows if it's indeed amateurish or if it's the best thing to do. Im just saying it looks amateurish, period.

But I tell you, the whole world will condemn the amateurism of what we re seeing right now in some days, weeks from now.
