Really? It was KO of the night, just as I predicted. It's amazing that even after your Pride boy gets KTFO, you are still licking his balls. That can was good enough to defeat Josh Barnett, who was good enough to dominate Mr.UFC, Randy Couture, to win the UFC heavyweight belt. So that means that the UFC heavyweight belt has no value since a can is able to beat the most emblematic UFC heavyweight ever.

You dont seriously think Crocop was just a 'can crusher' do you? Have you seen the speed the guy moved and counter punched? If so can you atleast justify it with reasoning so that we can understand the perspective you see it from as personally, i rate the old Mirko as one of the top 10 fighters i've ever seen. I base this on his then world class striking ability which lead to his systematic dismantling of people such as Wandy, Barnett & the great, great Vovchanchyn - Igor was never the same once he woke up from that kick. He had a presence about him that reminded me of Tyson, people feared the name and genuinely did not want to face him because they knew what was likely to happen. His distinct advantage was that at his best he did not need a ground game.

It is a true shame that we never had the chance to see a prime Crocop enter the octagon, even in his debut against Eddie i saw he was different. The killer instinct seemed to have left him completely, he is lethargic and a shadow of his former self these days which is a sad site to behold a'la Ken Shamrock.

I think Gonzaga took his soul that night, and he never recovered. Had he beaten him, who knows. The octagon is much larger than the old Pride ring, which gives guys a better opportunity to circle away from the kick.
