No joke ladies and gents; He is like Anderson Silva meets Randy Couture---

The guy is a machine. As much parity as there is at 205, I seriously do not see him losing for a very very very long time.

Rashad should take a fucking hike. He is going to get his ass kicked.

I can't believe the way he dominated Rua. NEVER saw that coming. He coulda put him away in round 1. I actually think Jones froze up when Rashad came into the ring. I wonder who is more dominate in their sparring.. and if one is more the mentor etc. I do think Rashad could pose a threat. Really fast and high intensity.

Such a talent Jones is. We just haven't seen him get hit yet.

Not only do I think Rashad will be a walk in the park, I think Jones will embarass him badly.

It wouldn't surprise me if Rashad fakes an injury to avoid fighting Jones.

Jones was a better fighter than Rashad after his first fight in the UFC. Unless Jones decides not to take fighting seriously anymore and he becomes addicted to heroin, he is going to walk right over Rashad.

I actually think it will be his toughest fight yet. Shogun is a great striker, better than Rashad. But rashad goes at a much faster pace and really gets in there and swings. ALso, does Rashad know any weaknesses, etc?

We still have yet to find out about JOnes' chin. Rashad will test it you can guarantee that.

Dude-- are you nuts? Rashad doesn't want any part of getting hit by Jones. an 84 inch reach against Rashad? Trust me, Rashad will try to outwrestle him, fail miserably and get TKO'd.

Believe me, I hope so. I'm loving Jones'. But I do think Rashad will be the biggest test for him.. moreso than Rua. Rashad seems more aggressive, and that is what is going to be able to get him to test that chin.

On a side note, who would be a good matchup? Silva? i see silva getting crushed.

I met jones about two years ago. He wasn't really known. I called out his name as he walked by down a walkway (he just got done making a guest appearance at a low level mma event. When I called out Bones! he stopped, turned around and walked down the aisle to shake hands. Ever since then I've been a big fan. Just cool to see him win tonight

Listen, as much as I love Shogun, I cant take anything away from Jones. The dude is a superhero. That thread that I posted earlier is a fact. The fucking guy chased down a purse snatcher for a mile, kicked out his leg and then held him down for the cops to arrive. He's 23 years old and doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs, get in trouble-- he's a model citizen, humble, religious etc. If he is the champ from here on out, it couldn't happen to a better kid. He's a great ambassador for the sport.

Totally agree.There seemed to be alot of hate in the MMA world for Jones, cos occasionally his comments can come across as big headed or whatever.But the guy is unbeatable.Ive said it since he destroyed Vera.To think by 3 years hes going to be even better in every aspect of fighting is truly scary.He didnt even look like he'd fought last night after the fight, and thats against one of the greatest fighters of all time.Damn!!!

I have never had anything negative to say about Bones because its a catch 22, if hes confident hes labelled arrogant and cocky, if hes quiet and unassuming hes scared. His overall abilities are astounding, and on that evidence i dont see anyone in the current crop being able to handle him. His striking is incredible, his cardio is top class, his wrestling is dominating people of all levels of ability and he has shown no weaknesses.

There will always be someone better out there - he just has to be found - however Bones will continue to grow into the sport, it is inevitable that he will move up to HW & from here the sky is the limit. Finally we have someone labelled with unlimited potential who is actually living up to the hype. If Anderson Silva wants to be the man, of if he messes with Dana again, i would be confident enough to say we have found the guy that would put him in his place.

Exciting times ahead, what a talent.

I think you guys are exagerating. He still has to be tested against aggressive strikers with KO power who can match him for speed. What happens if he gets cliped in the chin? What happens if he gets into the guard of a top BJJ guy who has the strength to keep him there? Will he be able to avoid submissions against a top BJJ guy with nothing but his wrestling?

I think Rashad probably Match's up against Jones a little better than Rua did although I don't see Rashad winning...

gut feeling here, but I see Machida with the best chance to beat him...

Dana and Lorenzo have already started talking about an Anderson/Bones superfight. That's actually more interesting than the GSP one.

Someone post the press conference video of Bones describing how they caught the mugger...it's hilarious. This guy is full of charisma. I'm looking forward every matchup in his division: Rashad, Rampage, Machida.

Oh, and all you Pride nutguggers, STFU and get off Bones nuts...he's a UFC figher that dominated your Pride posterboy. Lol.

At this point, nobody exists that meets ANY ONE of the skills you mentioned.

Doesn't matter what speed they have, Jones can't be reached without taking punishment on the way in.

Nobody at 205 has been or will be able to keep Jones down.

Jones biggest strength is his reach and speed.

Jones is willing to put himself out there with unorthodox strikes and moves, he's willing to take chances, obviously not afraid of getting hit.......yet. I was shocked the way he walked over Rua, although he looked tired to me at the beginning of the second. Dude should dominate then move up a weightclass, he has the frame to carry alot more weight.

I second the motion of Jones/Silva.......I'd like to see Silva get whipped.

Like some other poster mentioned, stylistically Machida has what it takes to beat him. Styles make fights, and Machida's elusiveness, speed and precision is custom-made to defeat Jones. I can see Jones charging Machida all hot-headed, Machida eludes all his punches and then clips him with an upper-cut right in the chin and he's put to sleep.

I thought Rua was the one to give Bones a good battle. Can't believe how it went down.

When i first saw Jones i wasn't a fan because i thought he'd be a cocky s.o.b. but he's not. Grweat attitude and great, unpredictable style.

I dunno who'd give him the most trouble at 205. I don't agree that it's Machida. Shogun proved you could beat him if you went at him and hit him in the face, and Jones could easily do the same and he's got the benefit of that longer reach. I guess it would be someone who could get inside, take him down and beat him on the canvas.

I like Jones. He's confident but not cocky whatsoever. Very hard to find a guy his age that has found such success at such a young age.

I dont think anybody can touch JJ. What I find humerous is that Mindless thinks JJ is unbeatable because he stopped a purse snatcher before the Shogun fight. Great logic as usual.
