He did not deserve the British Grand Prix. Roelly definetly looked better, Branch was way off and I guy like Branch can't be off. I love how the judges will award the recent winner of a major show all the smaller shows that follow even though they are way off.

Branch had enough conditioning and too much size over the other guys. Roelly was improved, but looks lanky next to Branch's thickness, which is why he got the placing he deserved.

Everyone had flaws and the placings were fair, even though it's sad that Branch's physique is supposed to be the one of the ideals of bodybuilding.

if bodybuilding was about a combination of balance, symmetry, size, aesthetic, conditionning, posing all together, ROCKEL should have won.

but sadly now its all about who is the biggest and more shredded. aesthetic simply does not matter. (and if the guy doesnt train abs, thats a plus)

Branch was in better condition, grainy and vascular although both their backs look terrible.
Branch needs Roelly's arms to be complete. Look at the sheer difference in forearm size!

branch has a thicker torso but t rex arms
and a wiiiide waiste

Roelly's arms are better, but only slightly so and Branch dwarfed him in the torso and lower body.

I'm no fan of Branch, BTW. I can see why he won, though.

When Branch hit the controversial "moon pose" it was ~~Balls~~ Lights out as far as the Judges were concerned

Funny thing is though that a few years back people used to complain that Branch was getting placed too low and it was bullshit. He even threatened to quit.

Then, he 'pays his dues' and suddenly gets gifted everything..

Are we talking size? Other pros have arms with comparable size. But Roelly definitely has superior shape, seperation, and fullness in his arms, including his forearms. Some of the best, if not the best arms out there. Tris about the best I've seen. Too bad he has those high lats. His lat shape reminds me of Dennis James.

Branch's T-Rex arms on the other hand, are a mess.
