The problem with modern BB is that they added freakiness as part of the new judging criteria.

When you ask someone , Do you think Branch deserved to win ? they usually answer '' Yeah he was the freakiest guy on stage ''.

This is a question for Chick...of course, he maybe in on it...getting the posing round thrown out (as in it doesn't count), I think it also ties in with Weider getting older---they see the King is dying (figeratively) and want to take bbing in a different (wrong) direction. Because they are in it for the wrong reasons (short term monetary gains).

I'm as big of a fan for Ronnie as anyone else is, but Rockel's well known weak point is/has always been his back. He has thickness but no width and very little detail.

From the front Ronnie is unbeatable. From the rear, it's a different story.

Hapless Rockel places lower than he deserves and keeps coming back. Imagine how disappointing it must be to look that good and ripped and lose to a muscleman like Warren.

Conditioning is the only quality most judges can assess and they use that to separate the competitors. I have been saying for a long time that the whole Pro League needs a complete replacement and upgrade with competent, intelligent, experienced and fair people with integrity. Nothing less is going to improve bodybuilding. We can start by booting total stooge, patsy and jerk Bob C out as the appointed athletes rep. What a travesty that is.

The trouble is bodybuilding is a business and not some organization dedicated to doing the right thing for bodybuilders. Federation of bodybuilders my ass.

Branch was bigger so I can see why they did it... but Roelly did not look good.

Ronny Rockel is one of the most complete pros out there and he get's the shaft every show he's in, people need to understand that this so called "sport" is so fixed and biest it's not even funny !! The guy speaks no english, he's not marketable at all (in the opinion of the so called "brains" of this sport) also the supplement companies don't wanna invest in an athlete that lives half way across the globe and speaks no english as well, and the suppplement companies are the ones that pay for these shows/expos. There's so many athletes that are not given the nod because of their marketability, the guy with best physique is not the one who always wins the show. As long as guys like Branch show up in some what decent shape they'll always go to there poster boy over the guy that deserves the win EVERY TIME !!
