The comments on the movie preview page thought the cartoon was an April Fools joke.

Arnold is smart and is marketing himself to a new and wider audience. Kids love this sort of thing and will most likely lap up the Governator.
Then of course he's got his carefully selected comeback film to announce which which will grab the older fans too.

He may be overreaching. If I recall correctly, he was going to do a speaking tour, but is planning a cartoon instead.

Looks like the Gordon charactor who got the bums rush a couple of weeks ago. I think he fits in better here.
