Beginning to see why CCNA (or whatever that is - in my office the tech support are rarely seen or heard, as is ideal) was in your future and not the hallowed halls of Oxford.
i teach CCNA(level 1) and CCNP/CCIP (level 2 and 3)
i'm prepping for the CCIE
the hallowed halls of Oxford ..academia for academia's sake...i ws once that kind...a few things happened along the way
1) my parents forbade physics as a major...they wanted me to be premed..(i promptly quit college..ok well they would't let me quit so i quit going to classes)
2) my girl 3 years ago had double renal failure.
both eventually led me to where i am...it keeps my mind working hard(not everybody can do this)..and is lucrative.. :-) (so she has the option of not working if she so chooses)
PS...i wouldn't call it tech support....CCIEs run ISPs...they aren't running after users at "work"...the CCIE or the CCNP is sitting on the ISP side..the ISP your works connects to...
comparing a CCIE to a tech support guy is like comparing a bodybuilder that gives himself injections to a trained world class surgeon. However there r only 20k some CCIEs on the planet!
