I noticed that too.  Strange.

He grabs for his chest at around 4:30 too.  Something wasn't right

dorian was alot smarter than most people give him credit for. he totally outsmarted those other two morons in the pose down by hitting his strong poses when they came near, then let them both go off and pose in the dark while he stayed in the light and hit his best shots, unopposed..he even moved across to be right in the centre.

very complex human being...total respect to the big doz...even today the guy is a champ.

This is an awesome vid thanks very much for posting it.

I can see why Dorian was so pissed and losing the overall. Yes the other guy was in good condition and probably close to the same muscle mass but Dorian's structure is so great and he was definitely more ripped. His legs seemed to lack the mass he put on later but he said that was mainly due to squatting too much and not getting the same effect as others which is why he changed to Leg Presses more.

Dorian's condition is incredible even then. That's fucking genetics and the structure too.

The black guy is Selwyn Cotterill who got his pro card the following year, the white guy is John Fisher,he was only about 22 or 23 in this show,he used to be the junior champ. He had great potential, but he met a girl who used to train at my gym, fell in love and dropped off the scene.

I remember being in Temple Gym a while back and we were watching an old video of Dorian losing the overall British Championships '86 - I asked Dorian about the guy who beat him and what he's doing now - Dorian smiled and said that he thinks the guy went on to run a chip shop!  ;D

Not sure if that was true but I think he proved his point.

Dorian was probably right, but being a bit tongue in cheek, the guys name was Chris Oskys and he was Greek, hence the chip shop connection.

Ah yes, that was the guy - I couldn't remember the name.

Yep - right about Gary Taylor, went on to win World's Strongest Man in 1993.
