Yeah, he then clarified his position.  Said it should be other countries' boots on the ground.  Not ours.  We should only be in the air.

My guess is that he caught wind of the next obama announcement - and he's trying to get in front of it.  he's been playing politics with this issue.  I like newt and would vote for him over obama in a minute... but he's looking like a dumbass on this issue, the more he talks. 

Greta called him on the issue of his flip-flopped.  He had a prepared answer but was unimpressive.  He did flip flop.

newt has been overexposed.  MAYBE he's just trying to get donations for his pac, which, well, pays his own Newt Company for services rendered... essentially paying himself for things.  Maddow detailed the connection how he's personally getting rich from the PAC donations.  He's been begging for $ in idaho, and he's getting it.

But people are probably seeing he is a snake politician.  A very smart man, but not all that presidential.
