Doesn't look powerful and manly enough. The perfect build for "bodybuilding" but not the ideal for looks AND power, which to me completes perfection. Wheelers physique was all show and no go, kind of like most IFBB pros. However, from an artistic perspective he looks like the very first ever black Greek God in that picture. Too bad he was a pencil neck.

I kind of agree with u in a way. 
Great aesthetics, but for me, the "perfect" physique should look more "powerful"

btw, phil has the same crazy "all or nothing" mentality flex had, just has jay cutler in his corner, as a buffer.  phil is doing some crazy shit to get those gains he is making every yr. no other pro changes yr-yr like him, NONE, except for kai bloated a$$.

He was a pencil neck after he broke his neck, but he had some thick traps back in 92-93, take a look at his Hardbody vid...actually, Flex had a more "athletic" physique...more go than show, as the "powerful" looking ones, couldn't even more well...
To me a physique must exude more than power---but that you move about in daily life...that type of physique was pushed to the max by either a 98 Arnold Classic Flex or 98 Ronnie Coleman...

But Flex in 93, at 215 at the Arnold and 218 at the Mr. O, shows that one doesn't really have to be big as shit...only to win the Mr. O

Which is why the women liked his look, and Shawn Ray's as well...both were ladies men...
Flex had 20s for arms, claimed 32 inch legs in Mass Construction, and Shawn Ray said his tailor said his arms were 18.5...not "fitness" in my book. And Flex won his first 4 Pro shows, and was 2nd in The O, and four Arnold Classics, and one of the most winningest bbers of all time. Most bbers today might manage 2 Pro wins in a career, if that at all.

Not too bad for a "fitness physique", huh?

But seriously though, "gangstalean" aka Parker is one the biggest racists I've seen on this board, bar none. For him it's all about finding flaws in the white man and defending blacks to the point of irrationality.

It's fascinating really, since from what I've gathered he tries to come off as a balanced, non-judgmental person that battles racism... which is ironic given his postings here that display a polar opposite of that.

Mike Francois, bar none, and Dennis Newman...had Mike Fracois not gotten sick, he would probably have been Mr. O, he would make a far better one than Jay, Dex, or Flex...
Flex was in another category, the category of "what if"...
You have see things for what is, and what I stated about Flex and Shawn is what it is, they were known as ladies men, and it has been stated on this board by women like Azure, or by Mike Arvilla as well...Shawn had dated Brooke Burke, and is known for his fine line of honeys.
