It gets way worse than this, we have some serious problems in this area that need to be dealt with.  There's a lot of shit to talk about here.

I don't live too far from this place.  The far left enviro nazis have been trying to shut this down forever.

The problem is that there are no alternatives and whenever the question is asked about how to replace the lost energy, the enviro freak show says no to everything.

That's the basis for a lot of energy problems, along with other things. Everyone wants to bitch, everyone wants this or that shut down but usually no VIABLE solutions or replacements are offered.

Usually the "Solar and Wind!" crowd of ignorant people are the first to scream the loudest, but they should be ignored.

we have enough coal in wyoming alone to fuel the entire US for the next 40 years or so even if all the nuke plants were gone tomorrow.

There are also new techs on the horizon.  A fella by the name of Andrea Rossi is claiming to have made progress in the cold fusion area.  It's been on Fox News and several other major outlets.  He's made two public demonstrations of the technology that ran for several hours.  He's not a scammer, it's been all his own money going into the project and he's committed to not accepting a dime from investors.  This is something several have worked on over the last 20 years, but this is the first guy to come along that's able to show some real results to the public.

We have a lot of coal, but it's hard to build anything power generating related let along something that uses coal.

with Nuclear getting a major black eye, there is only one viable option for energy right now and that's coal.  new coal plants have been done...

Let's not forget our lousy president flat out pushed for clean coal tech while he was running for office.

And don't fall for all of those crap commercials by environmentalist telling you that coal is dirty no matter what.  they went apeshit with those after Obama got elected.  I'd like to round up these cockgobblins and send them into fukushima to do the cleanup.  And if you're the fool that thinks nuclear is the end answer, you're just as fucking retarded and you should fucking go over there to ground zero and volunteer your ass.

I know that, but clean coal tech doesn't come without pretty decent efficiency hit. Always trade offs.

Plus he pushed for it to get votes from coal producing states. Let's not forget that Obama said a lot of things during his campaign....

Yea, I know he was just suckering coal states during the election.  Doesn't hurt to use his words now against him.  Coal is looking way better than nuclear right now, you'd have to be foolish to disagree ;D
