"A 14-year-old Bangladeshi girl, Hena,allegedly was ambushed when she went to an outdoor toilet, gagged, beaten and raped by an older man in her village (who was actually her cousin). They were caught by wife of the alleged rapist, and the wife then beat Hena up. An imam at a local mosque issued a fatwa saying that Hena was guilty of adultery and must be punished, and a village makeshift court sentenced Hena to 100 lashes in a public whipping."

"Hena collapsed after 70 lashes and was taken to the hospital. She died a week later, by some accounts because of internal bleeding and a general loss of blood. The doctors recorded her death as a suicide."

Seems like the pastor who burned that Koran in Florida is to blame. Muslims were peaceful, intelligent people who simply don't believe in using toilet paper or reproducing with non relatives. Then that pastor burned a Koran. Now Muslims are violent. Thanks a lot.

i worked with a load of bangladeshies on a overhall of a navy ship they bought off us ( was falling to bits ), they are fucking brainwashed islamics the lot of them, totaly brainwashed

why would they want liberated, they all beleive in it 100%, its only when they get propperly educated and mix with the outside world that they start to think twice

totaly different situation to tunisia or bahrain, where most the population are very moderate thinking, much better educated with more wealth

Bangladesh is still largely dependent on Western funding and AID. Surely there should be some explanation of this incident by the Bangladeshi government. Surely helping these emerging nations should be conditional on them behaving ethically?

I'm not doubting you but it's interesting that one of the main pieces of propaganda for the war against the Taliban was their oppression of women. The proper education you mention is one of the things they are still trying to bring about in Afghanistan.

I think we can all see that the real ill-wind that is starting to blow is an irreparable problem between Western democracy and fundamental Islam.

Seriously, enlighten me as to what "real Islam" is. There are some passages of the Koran that are pretty unequivocal about smashing infidels and the inferiority of women.

My friend do not even enter into a discussion with such ignorant trash as these about Islam. You have to understand that these people are the very bottom of the cess pool of even their own country. Failures, unemployed, poor academic record, living in shitty house, or with mom. They are not worthy of hearing about Allah's greatness,the hadiths, the true meaning of Islam.

Let them stew in their ignorance and anger such litany to failure are they.

I question even if this story is true or just more agenda driven lies.

One thing is for most certain sure: Islam is the inevitable fate of the whole world. They fear it - or should I say the western perverted interpretation of it - but they recognize it is their future.
