Unfortunately it will take a group of men to make HW boxing special again, and Tyson is certainly NOT one of them. I dont see him beating a prime Sinan Samil Sam, which roughly puts him at just above European level but nowhere near world championship caliber.

If you have a chance then watch "The Fabulous 4" - Hearns, Duran, Leonard & Hagler - and you will see what a truly special division looked like. HW boxing has a long way to go, and 1 oversized manc gyppo will not make much of a difference especially when he tries to box above his weight and gets hammered. It is just as well that Haye is retiring otherwise he could very well batter Fury into an early retirement. Vitali - even now he would destroy Fury with relative ease.

only 2 fights in heavyweight boxing,,,, haye v vitali/vladimere....

be a while before anyone else crops up...

at the moment all the fights are around the welterweight division, and have been so for a while... these things come in circles, eventualy there will be a good crop of heavies

I know someone that knows him. His father is big John Fury, nephew of Bartley Gorman, King of the Gypsies. Family of very hard men. John Fury was legendary down Epsom Downs races fighting bare-knuckle. Bartley Gorman's legend was even bigger.

Anyway, it would be interesting to see how Tyson gets on in the more refined version of the knuckle game. He's got a good solid base to build on. Let's hope the scum crawling around the sport don't get to him first.
