How many dems/repubs promised to shut down govt?

I saw a clip last night of 6 or 7 tea party repub congressmen telling their crowds their goal is to shut down the govt.  I don't recall any dems calling for a shutdown - hell, dems want MORE govt, not none.

Who gets the blame for a govt shutdown?  Will all those video clips of Repubs promising to shut down the govt - and all the bad things that come with it - do the Repubs get all the blame?

Why, the Dem controlled congress didn't even present a budget, only resolutions to keep the gov running

I can't find it right now but there was a poll last week or the week before that showing that more Americans were in favor of a shutdown as opposed to more reckless, idiotic spending by the Dems.  

Blame away. Maybe a shutdown will bring these leftists back to reality. Especially with Ryan bitch-slapping them right in the mouth with his budget proposal and their failure to make any sort of counter-proposal as they're too busy crying and making personal threats.

I saw a WSJ poll today

20% blame obama
20% blame dem congress
37% blame repub congress

What I'm saying is - and it sounds like Boehnner agrees - it was the repubs promising this exact shutdown to get elected.  Those videos of "We the repubs will shut down the govt" to cheers will cost them some seats in 2012.  If your wife was military or mailman and stopped getting paycheck - wouldn't you be pissed when you saw a video of some smug politician PROMISING to shut down the govt?

i'm okay with it, if that's what they wanna do.  But they should take credit for it.

Suddenly, you have repubs pointing the finger at the Dems.  But it was a lot of repubs - ON VIDEO - promising to shut the mofo down.

If that's what they wanna do, just accept credit for it.


And for the 2nd time, I support all these cuts BUT not the tax breaks on rich.
