There are many kinds of cancer you can get by 2nd hand smoke, but colon cancer isn't one of them.
Actually, it's the only kind of cancer you see less in smokers.....Weird but true.
As anyone of us, we all have abnormal cells, and what triggers them to start multiplying is truly up to that person's vulnerability. Coffee, certain chemicals that we are exposed to, etc., but to say never I would never say. Too many anomalies and unexplained cases out there to say never. To say the little girl was misdiagnosed, I do not work at that particular center and only read about her case. As rare as it seems, it seemed more rare to me that an 8 year actually had colon cancer, would you not agree, that this would be an extremely rare case and the cause I would imagine could also be rare? This was this center's assessment and with the reputation of this particular institution that it was researched at, it would be hard for anyone to disagree, but this is Get Big, so nothing should be surprising.
