Yea... I got it from your mom  ;D. Horrible way to start off a contest prep. This is what happens when a doctor misdiagnoses you for strep. I followed all the standard procedures. I suspected it was viral from the sores in my mouth. Waited about 13 days using ibuprofen to help with fever. She didn't even touch me or really look at me that well to try to diagnose me. Just prescribed the amoxicillin. This is a picture of my leg. This rash is all over my body right now. I came back a week later with this rash all over me and smiled at her and asked if she remembered me. I told her i was 90% sure it was mono. She wanted to argue and say i was allergic the the antibiotic. She grudgingly gave me a mono test and sure enough the line turns blue indicating mono. After that i shoved her down and said "BOOM BABY!" and proceeded to rip of my shirt and hit front double biceps and most musculars. Here is a visual.

Did your doctor at least take a throat culture or even a rapid strep test to diagnose the strep?

She took a rapid throat culture which came back negative. Those have 70% accuracy but it was a good indicator that it was potentially viral. I told her from the start i thought it was viral but in her defense it is a very hard thing to diagnose. My dad studied this bug for most of his career and diagnosed it immediately after telling him my symptoms. I can only think of 2 sources where this came from.

The rash is from having mono and taking the amoxicillin. Happens all the time.

Mono sucks. I had it my senior year in high school. Missed like 3 weeks of school. Lost 20lbs and felt like shit.

Then I went back to school. Started offseason basketball conditioning. And the mono came back and I missed another 5 weeks.

FUCKING SUCKED.......

Sorry you have this bro. Good luck getting thru it. Mono is terrible. Really kills your immune system.

I honestly think i got it from a couple of careless coworkers who had no concern for others and coughed with out covering their mouths. I had a cup of water laying out that i drank and i think that was the possible source. 1 person had it and spread it to about 4-5 people. They however did become ill for weeks. I am still trying to train and go to work but it hasn't helped much with the weight i've lost.

Now that is a terrible story my friend. I think i'd want to be shot if i caught it back to back like that. You sure it wasn't just one long cycle. It can last up to 8 weeks. Every week around thursday and fri i think im getting better and sure enough friday afternoon brings me a new present. First with bodyaches and temperature issues, second with dizziness and abdominal pain, 3rd with strep, and now this rash.

It was strange because I felt better for a good 4 or 5 days.

Then about 2 or 3 days of conditioning ( which was pretty intense ) and the fever came back, my throat almost shut completely and the chills and body pain was back again.

I think other then having a colon infection the mono was the sickest ive ever been...........

Take some time off of training and let your body rest. You just gotta let your body recover. If you do that you'll recover quicker. Just learn from my story.

I got those same rashes from most antibiotics.  I had mono when i was in collage..It sucked so bad, i would only be awake for about 6-8 hours a day for a few weeks..Good thing the semester just began and the workload was still light. But Mono sucks.

If you have the balls, do a 10 day water fast like right now. You'll be weak as fuck but your body will recoup a lot faster then if you just sit around eating and feeling like shit. Plus the rebound effect will be incredible.
