Thats a good friend of mine Paula Bircumshaw,who Ian used to date shortly after the British,trust me,you couldn`t meet a nicer person.

That's the interesting thing about FBB's, they look a bit intimidating but I met 2 of them personally and both of them were very nice in person.

That pic was taken just before the 82 Britain,and the guy in the blue trunks is Ian Dowe,and Ian won the Britain that year,it was his turn.I would have Brian winning it and Vince Brown 2nd (Vince is on the left side with a Sergio Oliva like shape,also only 20),and Ian in 3rd.

Funny those names from way back. I always liked Zulaks writings. Didn't he end up being fired by Kennedy cause he was addicted to painkillers or something. Maybe he's allready dead. Liked the guy.

Notice how Brians trunks had to be pinned in on the right hand side of the pic,i was told he got his waist down to 27 inches in this show.

Dang, you're an insider Dr Dutch. I never really liked that mag, I was more into Ironman Europe. They had great writers and lots of no-bull articles.

Word is and think there are picks of him squatting 600 pounds...crownshep might have those pics...Melvin Anthony claimed a 26-27 inch waist and he was a heavy squatter.

Afraid not dutchguy,thats a genuine photo cover scanned by myself,just because a lot of what you see today is photo shopped doesn`t mean that pics from the 70s and 80s is also.And Brian was known as a heavy squatter,regularly doing 6 plates.
