It seems more like Nick is getting props than being confronted.

let's not forget Diaz is the same guy that went after Joe Riggs in a LV hospital emergency room  after they fought, and we all know why Daley will probably never fight in the UFC again...

so I guess it's news when they're not acting like assholes after their fights now...

Agreed.  I do believe Daley should be given another chance in the UFC.  Heat of the moment type actions should be given second chances.  Bad choice, but still... come on.  Dana doesn't like to go back on his word though.

As for Diaz, dude is, and always has been a beast.  Him and Lawler I'd LOVE to see back.  Id' also like to see a GSP/DIAZ brawl.

Diaz has looked amazing in his last outings, but at the same time, he's not fighting the very best MMA has to offer.

Diaz is a true, complete fighter, that can compete with the best.  The problem with Diaz is that he may not be worth the headaches that come with him. He hasn't shown any improvement in his PR, although I do think at times this is his "roll" in MMA and he plays it up well.

I guarantee, we will not see Daley in the UFC.  He's a great striker, but he's far from a complete fighter that comes with a lot of PR issues as well.

Both these guys confuse me...In what other profession, sports or not, would anyone think it was ok to act the way these guys do?

Can you imagine having a meeting with your boss or client and acting like these fools?  You got to play the game if you're in it to make money.

Diaz will still get held down for 3 rounds by the UFC's top welterweight all of whom have elite wrestling i.e. GSP, Fitch, KOS, etc.  I'll tell you who I would love to see him fight....BJ Pen.  That's a great match up...

I think a rematch with Diego would be great as well.

The amount of recklessness in that fight would be CRAZY!

He hasn't been able to earn the title shot yet...

It appears that Tyrone Woodley will be getting the next crack at Nick Diaz.  He brings that same (if not better) elite caliber wrestling that has been known to give Nick problems in the past..plus he's pretty crisp on the feet.  It'll be a tough test for Nick for sure, but the fight is definitely winnable.

Woodley would be another easy payday for Diaz.  Diaz would tear him apart on the feet and Woodley has limited JJ at best.

This is obviously a statement of ignorance...Diaz hasn't fought a decent wrestler since he fought Sean Sherk.  Woodley is even more accomplished thank Sean as a wrestler (d-1 all american).  Half of his wins are by submission and according to Ricardo Liborio he's got the BJJ skills to avoid being subbed by anybody on the planet (He said this before his fight with Andre Galvao-who happens to be way more decorated as a BJJ black belt than Diaz).  Diaz has better hands, but it is a very real possibility that Woodley can take Nick down and Lnp him for 5 rounds.  Also, Nick is a little reckless and gets dropped alot, plus he moves forward a little to recklessly as well....which wrestlers love.  Nick should win, but stylistically it's a bad match up.  Fight finder won't tell you that.

Relax bro....can't your mexi-fat ass take a comment and discuss without trying to be hostile?

Woodley has not faced anyone NEAR the talent level of Diaz and for you to say that Diaz has problems with wrestlers is assuming something that was a weakness years ago.  Diaz gets dropped a lot....really? Recently? Besides Daley, who has dropped Diaz recently?

I could care less what trainers say (Ricardo Liborio) about a guy. Woodley has not been super impressive when you look at the talent he's been facing as well as his limited skillset. He reminds me of Koscheck back in his TUF1 days to be honest.

Let's not get all caught up in you dislike of me....My original statement stands. This would be another easy payday for Diaz.

I like Diaz in the ring but I could do without all the soap opera crap....

pretty sure there's a jail cell somewhere with his name on it for doing something stupid when his fighting days are over.

Diaz has been strategically matched up with guys who will stand and bang with him to make exiting fights since his departure from the UFC, Daley,Cyborg,Noons,Sakurai,Zaromskis,Smith,Shamrock,Denny,Corbbery,Inoue,Aina,Gomi...All primarily stand up fighters, a couple of which have ok defensive BJJ.  Diaz was dropped twice by Kj Noons,Gomi dropped him,Zaromskis dropped him,Aina dropped him,Daley dropped him twice...he gets hit alot...his boxing is mostly offensive.  He's an accumulative pressure fighter with decent body-head combos, but he still kinda leaves his head out there and holds his hands at his waist alot.  Comparing Woodley to Kos on TUF 1...just tells me- (1.  you didn't watch TUF 1 and (2.- you've never actually seen him fight.   Stick to bodybuilding and shrinking your beanbag, you still don't have a grasp on how skill sets match up in MMA (probably because you've never thrown a punch in your life).

We don't need your poor imitation of Freddie Roach to figure this out. Got it?

Woodley was super unimpressive in his last fight against some nobody whos name I cant even remember.

He's not the same caliber fighter as Diaz is.

He's got one chance and that is to take him down and try to keep it there and as long as he possibly can.

It'll be a shit fight that no one wants to see.

I agree 100%.  Diaz has pretty much run through everybody at WW in Strikeforce.  I can understand why Diaz wants to do boxing. Why would someone put themselves through training camp to fight some mediocre greehorn like Woddley, who he's supposed to win?  Diaz has nothing to gain from fighting him or any of the mediocre talent in the SF WW division.

Tarec Saffadine was Woodley's last opponent, he's actually a legit, battle tested, world class kickboxer with pretty solid takedown defense who trains out of Team quest.  It was a clear victory but unimpressive I agree.  Jake Shleids and post UFC 69 GSP have employed the old " take him down and try to keep it there and as long as he possibly can" routine to which you refer.  It's pretty effective against guys who rely on stand up to win fights, factor in sub defense and there's nothing the person on bottom can do,most of the top guys in the WW division utilize this same gameplan.  That style is a nightmare for Nick Diaz, which is probably why he has been kept away from guys like that for so long.
