green tea is great johnny. appetite suppressing, and mildly thermogenic. will also make you piss like a race horse.

what you do is brew up a 1/2 gallon of it on your stove in a pot. transfer it into a container and keep it in your fridge and sweeten it with whatever sweetener your prefer. iced green tea dude.

Fine question probably helping out the Japanese become taller. Swede only drinks Pepsi Max so this wont apply to him.

good advice i hear you can re-steep the tea bag 3-4 times too?

i do feel a little more sense of well being from the tea, it might just be the psuedo effect right now im not sure, ill report back in a couple weeks if its really worth taking, but i hear good things about it

Green tea has many benefits......skin.....m etabolism.....helps the immune system.

I like to drink it 3-4 times a week......probably is a much better alternative to coffee....but coffee is hard to give up.

X2.. we do exactly that at home.. you should try Genmaicha as well, essentially green tea with roasted brow rice.. can be found at Nijiya, ranch 99, most asian grocery store..

Green Tea and Honey is supposed to be beneficial for your health. In Hawaii they make tea by placing the tea in huge glass jars, adding water, and then let it sit in the sun for a couple of days.

Pellius might correct the above or add to it.

And the Japanese like to take the green tea leaf and grind it up in a tea-grinder which grinds it down to a powdery substance which dilutes in hot water. That is supposed to be the ideal way of betting the max benefits from the green tea leaf. I think I paid approximately $42 for that little grinder.

I'm having a cup of Lipton's as I'm writing this.

DOes anyone know the best unprocessed green tea that one can be purchase?

Awesome stuff stunt... I'm wondering if grinding the tea using a regular high rpm cofeegrinder... I'll give it a shot when I get home...

Do they have Sprouts or Jimbo's in Vegas? Both these carry very good organic teas...

Thanks, W8M8! Good info in that web site and I'll be giving it a try.

Alex, I doubt that the the coffee grinder will make it "powdery' enough to dilute in hot water, but give it a try.

I don't know what Tea Store are in LV because I've only been using Lipton's Green Tea lately but once I get my Tea Grinder out of storage, I'll get more serious and start looking for the China imports.

Anyone see any problem with Lipton's though?

Just searched for Tea Mill Grinders on eBay and discovered that the grinder I purchased for $42 is now $98 due to the present popularity of drinking Green Tea.

Photo attached.

I'm also attaching photos of tea leaves that were 'ground up" by a coffee "grinder" compared to leaves ground up by the above tea grinder.

The coffee grinder will not grind the leaves enough to dilute completely in hot water.

You're welcome stunt .. I don't see any problem with Lipton except that it's processed ( and that's not a problem per se ) .. other than that it's dandy .. green tea is an excellent drink .. in summer I mix in frozen fruit for smoothies :)
