Mariusz P is about the only powerlifter/strength athelete who doesn't look like a fat mess I can think of at the moment.  But even he trains like a bodybuilder when he's not training for strength competition....because he has the DISCIPLINE to diet properly,

Yes he has the discipline to eat a diet of chocolate and sausages.

Quote from: Pudz
“My energy comes from my diet. Breakfast is 10 eggs and 2-3 pounds of bacon. Between meals, I eat lots of candy…I need it for energy. Lunch, at 1 or 2 p.m., is a double meal of a Polish pork chop, sauerkraut and potatoes.

An hour later, I work out, then take lots of supplements: magnesium, creatine, amino acids, all that stuff, and more chocolate.

Dinner is whatever meat I can get: steaks, pork chops, bacon, plus more sauerkraut and potatoes. [After I work out] I have a protein shake and more chocolate.”

Anybody can heave around weights and get big...anybody.

If that's you in the pic then you will never be big. You will never look anything like Pudz of Estep of Konstantin. You can try all you want, take all the drugs in the world - will not happen. Not only because of your twink physical genetics but also because of your twinkish mental constitution.

Neither PL or BB should be done to look "good", since by that most mean attracting females. Do bodybuilding if you want to look "good" in the sense of attracting homos like GayBay.

Correct me if I'm wrong! If u are not into drugs I would say heavy powerlifting training will give u 10 times more result than bb workouts with high volume short rest and light weights and going for the feel and pump...

Every teenagers I have seen who start with powerlifting actually get some muscles, while "bodybuilding" teens get nothing before they start using roids...

Absolutely correct. Now powerlifting will not give you much muscle either without drugs but you can get a certain dense and strong look to your body. Bodybuilding, unless you have extremely good genetics, will do close to nothing. You will look twinkish, like BlackStar.

Who says you have to do one or the other. Huge powerful looking muscles with good definition is really what one should shoot for. People tend to only focus on one or the other and I think Powerlifting movements are absolutely necessary to build the ultimate physique. Ive always based my bodybuilding training around the compound basics bench squat dead ect. At least one mass builder for every muscle and some detail exercises at the end. Fat slob powerlifters arent appealing to me and neither is a 240lb bodybuilder with a pencil neck that cant even deadlift twice his own weight. There is something in between you know. And theres nothing worse than an all drugs weak bodybuilder

Yes. He, Jim Cash, Mike Bridges, and Coan were all beasts in the lighter classes. Estep had the most rugged physique though.

I thought so. I remember Ed Coan and Mike Bridges. I've never really been into powerlifting, but they used to cover it in the old Dan Lurie Muscle Training Illustreded mags, so I remember a lot of those guys.

These lean powerlifters do look great.

The problem with that physique is that it requires a LOT of food and drugs and work to maintain. It's not really practical. To have that kind of physique you have to make your lifestyle revolve around your training and eating and steroids.

If those guys went to jail for a month they would come out 40 pounds lighter probably.

Fuck all that. I'd rather go for a physique that does not require me to sacrifice tons of time, money and my health.

A powerlifter with a good physique looks like a bodybuilder

A chubby bodybuilder looks like a powerlifter.

Wasted many years Bodybuilding. That's why every gym seems to have 2-3 guys with a great physique pumping around and the rest looking like garbage.

Nah, I did them when I became 50 because I felt like it , also I thought that I would have to be in good shape, if I had a barbell tatoo in my shoulder otherwise it would look rediculous 8)
