Deep inside (  :-X ) they know their colony-status. That won't go away, no matter how many generations pass. Once a colony, always a colony.

Basic line is, to Europeans America is just a colony as are African countries. Both belong to Europe. Both were conquered by Europeans... as was the rest of the world

They want to show to their masters, the Europeans, that they are equal and deserve same treatment and status.

Then look at Europe! Europeans proved themselves they are the ultimate race by conquering the whole fkin' world centuries ago. They can now act calmly and be civilized. They don't have anything to prove to anyone. Europe owns whole world. There are barely places that Europeans didn't put under slavery at some point of history  8)
