Wtf is wrong with you?
The minimum wage is terrible economics. Again - read a book on economics moron.
How much should someone get paid to stock shelves or flip burgers? Doesn't require a unique skill, or any special ability. How about a greeter at Walmart? Should they be pulling down big bucks? You get paid commensurate with your skill level or special ability you proved. Minimum wage is just another of these "fairness" initiatives that cause more problems than do any good.
Oh lord. So how much does it cost to live on ones's own? And people are not supposed to live on burger flipper jobs.
what's minimum wage now 7.50, lets be realistic here you can't live on 7.50. so what do you want employers to pay 4.00 an hour i don't think it's a problem to have a minimum
Jobs that pay $7.50/hr are not designed to be able to live on, they are for the young or retires that want something to do. I really don't care what the employer pays, it is there choice. Its really quite simple, you want to make a good living acquire a skill that is in demand.
well that's you,i think their should be a minimum and so don't most people
what the fu#k is wrong with her
She understands basic economics. That is what is "wrong" with her. I assume you learned about price floors in economics class. Price floors put on a product causes a surplus of that product, meaning that it piles up without anybody buying it because it is too expensive for people to buy - it is over the equilibrium price. The minimum wage is a price floor on wages. When potential workers pile up as surpluses - that is called being UNEMPLOYED.
Solution = abolish welfare and social assistance and raise minimum wage to a reasonable $10-12 an hour.Problem solved
I did in the past when I was a teen. Again - this is a bullshit issue. Why not make the min wage 50 an hour?
I suspect you make a lot more money then I do and rarely worked in low skill labor type jobs.I have and am glad I had a few laws to ensure I got some pay and had some rights. To me BOTH the worker and the boss should have laws to protect both of them.I don't trust anyone to do always the "right thing".
Yawn - I was a laborer for a fence company, a maintenance guy at a country club, a bar back in a catering hall, all at very low wages in my teens. But guess what? i learned work skills, built a resume, had income, gt tips, and worked in to other jobs. This is a nonsense issue by economically illiterate leftists who have NEVER run a business. BTW
