In 2009, Trump published a book with a very Trumpian title: “Think Like a Champion.” In that book, he praised Obama’s “amazing” and “phenomenal” accomplishments. “Barack Obama proved that determination combined with opportunity and intelligence can make things happen — and in an exceptional way,” Trump gushed.

I'm predicting this will be the straw that breaks teh camel's back - I think many trump fans are going to look at Trump's praise of Obama’s “amazing” and “phenomenal” accomplishments, and will move back to a Mitt or someone else. At this point, Trump is a lib, outright.

I don't think this is a big deal. What he said is true. Obama's accomplishments of becoming president after not having a regular full-time job and winning the Nobel Peace Prize after having done squat are remarkable.

The fact he has been a lousy president doesn't contradict those facts.

And he is not going to win the Republican nomination.

Probably not. in fact, showing his financials seems to be a huge issue for him. If he's worth "many times the 2.7 bil that Forbes says".... well, smells like some bullshit to me.

i don't agree with everything trump is about so it doesn't bother or surprise me that he said a few nice things about the kenyan back when most of the country stupidly fell for the obama bandwagon. what does bother me is that even with trump running about trashing obama now after he's seen what he's done to this country here comes 240 waving the pro-socialist/obama flag with a few comments he scrounged around the net looking for to scrape a few points away from trump literally nailing the big picture problems in america.

BIG DEAL!! That was 2 years ago. Now with double-digit unemployment, high gas prices, a third war, ObamaCare, and a slew of other Obama failure, Trump sees that this guy didn't live up to his billing.

Trump gave Obama the benefit of the doubt. Now, there's no doubt that he's a FLOP!!

The fact he keeps bringing up the dates, how long he can run before he has to open books, etc... and the fact it's even an issue because he keeps talking about how much richer he is than mitt. Either way, every 5 minutes we're learning that Trump is a liberal. It's taht simple. Repubs dig him because he's undermining obama's legitimacy with the birther stuff. But if you throw out the birther stuff (which trump seems to be doing by claiming it's not his primary issue), you get a guy trying to explain why he's more conservative than everyone else. his record, his own words, say otherwise.
