(CNN) - Jan Brewer, the Arizona governor who's sparred with President Obama over her state's controversial illegal immigration law, says she feels "snubbed" by the White House after not getting invited to an immigration summit there Tuesday.
Speaking to Fox News, Brewer said the summit - during which the president met with state and local leaders including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka - should have included current governors of states that share a border with Mexico.
"You would have thought one of the governors would have been invited, since we are on the front lines fighting for security there," she said. "It was a little bit of a snub, if you will."
Brewer met with the president last June after she signed a controversial immigration law that is currently being challenged by the Justice Department. She later described the meeting as "very cordial" but said disagreements remained.
In an interview with CNN's John King later that month, Brewer said she would not be willing to work with the president on an immigration bill until the borders were secure.
"You know, everything's off the table, I believe, in Arizona until we get our borders secure," she said then. "That's our No. 1 priority. It's unfortunate it has to be that way. But the people of Arizona, the people of America, have been promised that our borders would be secured for years and years and years, with it not happening."
