Three things to take from what transpired today:

1) Obama looks worse than Trump. It took a reality TV star/ real estate mogul berating Obama on TV for a month for him to release something that people have been asking about for 2+ years. Clearly, Trump rattled him into showing his hand. Think about it. All that BS for nothing+ Obama felt threatened enough to hold a press conference announcing the release. IMO the President once again came off as an amateur who couldn't give two shits about the American people and is more concerned about his popularity being overshadowed by a billionaire with bad hair.

2) Obama's strategy completely failed. IMO from day one Obama wanted a serious GOP contender in 2012 to jump all over the birther issue just so he could discredit them when the time was right. Unfortunately no serious GOP contender paid much attention to the issue so in more ways than one, Obama's secret weapon was a dud. Trump isn't running and nobody in the GOP gives a shit.

3) Obama clearly pays no attention to his responsibilities as POTUS. At his press conference, Obama said something to the effect that he has so many more important things to do as commander and chief than waste his time on the birther nonsense. So, right after the birther press conference that he called, he got on air force one with his hideous wife so he could tape Oprah Winfrey and later that evening go to a fund raiser.

Gee, Im glad we put that silly birther nonsense to bed so you could make TV appearances and pass around the collection plate at another 30k dollar per ticket dinner to finance your reelection campaign.

FYI I think the whole birther thing was a moronic waste of time, but just because he produces a BC doesnt take away from the fact that hes running this economy, and country along with it, into the ground. I don't remember it being as much of a distraction two years ago but I could be wrong. But that's not the issue really because GOP, McCain etc. Did their research and were satisfied that Obama was legit.

The Birthers wouldn't let it go and it gained massive attnetion with Trump. The people here spinning this into Obama's fault is frankly pathetic. And then acting as if he should have supplied the long form to prevent attention to the Birther issue is stupid too. He provided a COLB. Good enough and even more good enough for people who actually researched it a little like myself.

And then look at 33333 making a huge issue out of it. For fuck sake, gas is 4$. Why haven't we been focusing on that? Yet we have had idiots like Trump beating the Birther drum, now the dumb ass ( trump) sounds like a cheap shade shoed politician on the level of Jesse Jackson.
