sweet, dude. I like that you're not letting grumpy old grandpas like Baygbm dampen your appetite for consumer goods.
I need it for school web browsing the usual.
Honestly I do think it's pricey, but I am VERY happy with it, and I have used a ton of laptops and shopped for weeks before I bought it.
The best way to put it is that this is the complete package.
What I wanted-
I7 sandy bridge
7200 RPM harddrive
8gigs of RAM
500 GIG hard drive, at least
Hi def screen
Great battery life
Thin and lightweight
Blu-Ray player
Nice shell, appealing and trendy- not cheap and plastic like.
The bottom line- I could NEVER get the perfect package. The Toshiba Portege 830 and also the Lenovo Y460p both came very close, but neither had a backlit keyboard (something I insisted on) and the lenovo seemed and felt very cheap. It had a shitty battery while the toshiba- what can I say, it came very close.
Like I said though, I am pretty educated when it comes to computers, and I did my research, and while I dislike shelling out $1200 for the MAC you definitely DO get what you pay for.
On this keyboard I can easily hammer out around 105 110 WPM at 95% or better accuracy and the backlit keyboard is amazing and a joy to have.
